Comments are an interesting thing to me. I loved when I got a comment on my blog! I never thought someone would care to read what I wrote. or would want to know how I think in response to something they had written on a blog. However my views are changing. I think comments provide a form of feedback. It helps to validate thoughts or it is interesting to get another persons perspective.
I think it would be a great way for students to get feedback in regards to their writing. Through this process I think students would feel encouraged and in the process become better writers.

Speaking of feeling encouraged, I think that's what we are practicing here, to learn how to encourage one another. Reading blogs and choosing my words before commenting have taught me that behind each blog there is a human being waiting for a sign of friendship, acceptance and kindness.
