THING 5

Bookmarking the blogs was the easiest way for me to mark and subscribe to my my blogs. I can see me using this concept more on a personal level instead of a professional level. With teaching special education students I don't see where this concept is one that they could grasp. I am overwhelmed with this concept!

Thing 4

RSS is an interesting concept. I had never heard of this before. I can see where this concept would be a major time saver. I can also see why the Internet has replaced the paper news resources. In the classroom I can see older students using it as a means of keeping up with current events.

Thing 3

I would have never even thought of using a blog as a way of communicating with my students or peers. After looking at some of the blog sites the possibilities are endless. In reading on of of the participants blogs, she even thought of using a blog to communicate with parents instead of a news letter. I will be coming back to thing 3 to discover and learn even more about this blogging concept. Will these resources continue to be available to us after the course is over? Is there a way to save all the info that we are learning?

Thing 1 and Thing 2

This is a whole new word for me to explore! I decided to participate in this because I am always trying to learn more about the use of technology with my students.
In Thing 1 I thought the article and video were thought provoking. It is a whole new way to approach teaching and learning. The article demonstrated how teachers could really collaborate and learn from each other in addition to their students.
Thing 2 was very overwhelming to me. The whole Blog concept is new to me and as I write this I still wonder if I will successfully publish this for all to see. I am looking forward to this wonderful adventure of learning!
